Duties of Editors

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief has the responsibility to determine which submitted manuscripts should be published. Editorial decisions are based solely on:

• scholarly merit,

• methodological soundness,
• relevance to the journal's scope,
• significance to the development of Islamic studies.

Editors may consult members of the Editorial Board and reviewers before making final decisions.

Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts without discrimination based on:

• ethnicity,
• religious denomination,
• political beliefs,
• institutional affiliation.

Editorial decisions are made exclusively on academic quality.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information regarding submitted manuscripts to anyone other than:

Conflicts of Interest

Reviews should be objective, constructive, and supported by clear academic arguments. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

They should also notify the editor of any substantial similarity between the submitted manuscript and previously published works.

Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers should decline invitations to review manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest arising from:

• competitive relationships,
• collaborative relationships,
• financial interests,

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors should present an accurate, honest, and complete account of the research conducted.

Research data should be represented truthfully without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation.

Originality

Authors must submit original work.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

The journal has zero tolerance toward plagiarism, including:
